Live your dreams out loud
When I graduated with my Bachelors Degree, our commencement speaker encouraged us to live our dreams out loud, for if we do not share our
hopes and goals with the world, how will we bring them to fruition?
Since that day, I have committed to living my dreams out loud. Below is a collection of my personal and professional, short- and long-term goals.
Show up for my people
As my career progresses, my goals will always include continuing to show up authentically and unapologetically for my people: my kids, my family, and my greater community.
Grow my community
Both personally and professionally, I seek to grow a community - a village - of love and support and to be the best friend I can be.
Start my own non-profit
Since senior year of my undergraduate nursing program, I have been volunteering with free-medical clinics across the country. My dream is to start my own mobile health clinic - serving the health and social needs of those in my own community.
Change policy
I will continue to work to change the many upstream causes of negative health impacts in my local, state, national, and global communities.
Keep surfing
I feel most at peace when I am surrounded by nature, and surfing has been a big part of caring for myself and my mental health. I am lucky to live close to the Atlantic Ocean and my goal is to keep surfing all year around.
Serve on a community board
For one year, I served on the board of a local non-profit organization called Enough Pie. It is a goal of mine to continue connecting with and serving my community in this way.
